Merkur works in the field of sheet metal since the '50s and is currently active in the following areas:

- Design, construction and assembly of sheet metal bodyworks and guards for machines

- Design and construction of stainless steel bodyworks, guards, tank, hoppers and other parts for the food industry, the chemical industry and pharmaceutical industry

The factory is located in Italy, in the town of Retorbido, near Milano. Retorbido is easily accessible from the A7 Milan - Genoa highway (Exit Casei-Gerola) or the A21 Turin - Piacenza highway (Exit Casteggio).

The company employs about thirty people and has a covered area of approximately 3000 m2, surrounded by an open area of the same size. Currently, the production departments are equipped as follows:

A R&D department equipped with CAD-CAM in two-dimensional and three-dimensional environment for the design and development of all the metal sheet components;

A swiss-made Bystronic laser cutting machine for sheet metal, equipped with a 2400 W laser source capable of working carbon steel and stainless steel up to 10 mm thick, aluminum up to 6 mm thick and brass up to 3 mm thick;

Amada CNC punching machine with 20 stations able to work sheets up to 4000x1500 mm with thickness up to 6 mm;

4 Schiavi bending machines with bench width up to 4 m;

2 OMCCA calandering machines ro calender sheet metals up to 3 meters in length;

12 welding stations to assemble the sheet metal parts;

Surface finishing department equipped with brushing machines, polishing machines and shot blasting cleaners for stainless steel finishing.

A pre-assembling department for all our customers who want to save time and dedicate themselves to the hearth of their products;
